All The Cool Kids Are On The Z List

Last Fall, I posted about my goal to increase traffic to my blog. Not for any vain reason - just to see if and how it could be done. My plans have been slightly curtailed by the soup incident (I'm posting from work right now), but prior to that I was experiencing a slight improvement in my stats thanks to the tags.

It's going to take more than just tags though. I've realized that, much like the off-line world, if you want to expand your circle you have to get out there and be social. Enter the Z List. Want to get in on the action? Copy the list below, add your favourites, post it on your own blog and help spread the love through the blogosphere.

Wow - this is the longest copy of the Z List I've seen to day (I'm Women, Art, Life). I will NEVER catch up with all of these!

So thanks for posting and adding more. I now know I will never, ever be bored.

Hi Gillian,
Thanks for the link to my own blog (burried in there somewher). Just as an aside, everyone wants to grow their traffic, but why not try to increase the level of engagement between you and your audience?
One metric that we have for blog success is comment:post ration. an average of 2 per post is pretty good, 3 is really good.
I guess as an ad-girl, it's all about the traffic but from a PR perspective, engagement is king.
Good luck!
Ed

Great to see the Z-list kicking on! There is also a new semi-meme called 2000 Bloggers that you may be interested in.

Anyone who lists the Pixies first on their list of fave music is OK with me. You should check out geekfest, er, Third Tuesday Toronto some time. It's the anyone who's anyone of the Z- list of Toronto PR & Marketing bloggers.
